If you are an artist who enjoys working across mediums and solving both creative and technical challenges then the BCA-VEED 3D Stream is perfect for you.

3D Stream Overview

Kick start your career in the entertainment industry with the Flinders University & CDW Studios Bachelor of Creative Arts (Visual Effects and Entertainment Design) (BCA VEED). This degree features industry instructors, live demonstrations and one-on-one industry feedback through an internationally recognised and award-winning school.

BCA VEED has four streams (like majors) of study, which allows the degree to be tailored to your interests. The 3D stream is perfect for those who are both technical and creative, and are working toward a career in 3D modelling or design. It includes core topics like the 3D Bootcamp (focusing on 3D fundamentals) and 3D Modelling, and electives based in your key area of interest, like Creature Design and 3D Modelling for Games.

Every CDW Studios workshop is led by a world-class industry professional. These workshops include live demonstrations and are an opportunity to learn industry tips and tricks directly from those working in film and game industries. Students are encouraged to follow along as artists work through their creative process to stretch their skills. These artists also provide mentorship, support and guidance through your journey to becoming a professional digital artist.

Through this three year degree, we will equip you with the technical and creative skills you need to work effectively in a professional creative pipeline. You’ll learn what it takes to excel in the film and game industry, as a character designer, environment or prop designer, storyboard artist or even a 2D animator. On completion, you can also apply for the exclusive BCA VEED Honours program. This is an additional year of intensive study and mentorship to work on a personal project which can be pitched to studios.
