techniques you’ll need when creating characters both for fun and professional work.
- Workshop Requirements
Hardware Requirements
- A laptop and drawing tablet (eg. Wacom and Huion have good drawing tablets) so that you can follow along, as we do not supply any equipment for our workshops.
- If you don't have any of the above items, a sketchbook and pencils, markers will be okay, but be mindful that Pete will use digital rendering techniques using Photoshop.
- iPads may be used, although they don't run Photoshop very well. You can draw and paint with them using Procreate or take notes if you wish.
Software Requirements
- Adobe Photoshop - You can take up a 7-day trial if you haven't used it before and would like to try it out. It will ask you for payment details when you sign up, however if you don't wish to continue using it after the workshop you can just cancel it. Alteratively you may wish to use another painting or drawing program such as Manga studio, Krita, Corel Painter, Heavypaint, or Gimp. All demonstrations will be done using Photoshop.
