Overview
The Bachelor of Visual Effects and Entertainment Design (VEED) 2D Animation stream focuses on universal animation principles and using movement to tell a story.
Throughout the degree you will learn to create character sheets, storyboards and animation processes to give your characters striking poses and dynamic movement.
We are committed to helping you develop skills that don’t age as well as up to the minute industry relevant training that will make you job ready by the time you graduate. This means developing your drawing fundamentals and gaining a deep knowledge of form and movement as well as learning up to the minute workflows and techniques that will give you the experience necessary to work inside a studio pipeline.

- Hands on Industry Training
Students learn directly from Industry Professionals in a hands-on learning environment. You will be spending most of your time “on the tools” – honing your craft and developing the skills needed to work in a studio environment.

The most important thing about succeeding in your career is building your portfolio. This is our number one focus – each CDW workshop is designed to develop your skills and build your portfolio. From weekly exercises to major projects, everything works towards leveling you up – fast.
- HECS-HELP Financing
VEED is delivered through a partnership between CDW Studios and Flinders University, who are a Commonwealth supported provider. This means eligible domestic students can apply for a HECS-HELP loan, rather than pay for the degree up front (PAYG).

There are student study areas at all Flinders and CDW Studios locations with kitchen, wifi and modern amenities.
- Sketch Club
Sketch Club is a group run by students for students. It’s an official Flinders University club, where students get together for student-led workshops, movie days, study meetups, to provide opportunities for peer review and continue to build our strong student community.
VEED Topic Guides
VEED is a three year degree, with a full time load including four topics each semester. It is delivered in partnership between Flinders University and CDW Studios. Students select CDW Studios’ workshops based on their study stream and specific area of interest.
